What is Leading & Managing Change?

It is an in-company learning and development process aimed at experienced leaders and managers, both within and across functions who are charged with making change happen. It is primarily concerned with mobilising the energy of everyone in the organisation, and aligning people behind clear, compelling goals.

Why do businesses need it?

Almost all of the recent research and experience in implementation of change has shown that the most critical factor in achieving a successful outcome is the ability to lead the change process effectively. It is not only about traditional leadership competencies, but also the ability to use change processes in an holistic way that will sustain change. Therefore:

  • To succeed, businesses must develop the habit of continuous improvement and never accept the status quo
  • Accepting that no matter how much you improve, your competitors will also continue to improve
  • Customers will continue to expect improved quality and service
  • You cannot afford to stop or slow down the drive for improvement

How does it work? By:

  • Aligning people behind the corporate vision and values
  • Understanding the impact of organisational change on people
  • Heightening awareness of personal attitudes, behaviours and accountability for continuous improvement and change
  • Developing co-operation and synergy within and between teams

What will be achieved?

  • Stronger alignment with corporate vision and values
  • Partnerships within and across teams, functions and departments
  • Faster implementation of change
  • Paradigm shifts, new ways of thinking and behaving
  • The creation of a critical mass of change agents
